Bush Walk in Kruger National Park with Rangers
Going on a walking trail in the Kruger National Park is an experience you will never forget. It is filled with things to see and hear in the bush especially being up close and personal. You can enjoy this once in a lifetime experience in the safety of the game ranger’s guidance, as no two walks are ever the same.
It’s an early start as you must be up and ready well before sunrise and leave before dawn. We know it might be a bit hard getting up that early, however the Kruger National Park walk is definitely worth the effort!
You’ll leave the lodge to go to the assigned entry gate where you will continue on a special open-sided four wheel drive. The rangers begin each walking safari with an all-inclusive briefing on how to behave when encountering animals on foot as they are frequently sighted on these safaris. You will be led by two armed professional park rangers who knows what all the signs, sounds and sights of the bush mean.
You might be lucky and spot a few nocturnal animals on the way to the walking trail’s starting off point. When the Kruger National Park wildlife walk starts you walk single file behind the rangers at a relaxed pace. It’s a daunting feeling being last in the line. Who knows what’s behind you!
The walk normally last about 3-4 hours enough time to enjoy every step as you get to discover all sorts of amazing things related to nature such as plants, insects, tracks, including excellent information offered by the rangers. Part of the experience may also include encountering large and small mammals sometimes getting up close enough to almost reach out and touch. If you love being surrounded by nature, then this is definitely something you should consider.
